Results From Photowalk Around Narangba

We had a great first Narangba Photowalk. We had some very interesting cloud cover, a few spots of rain, and a nice sunset. The colours were vibrant and rich due to the moisture in the air and the filtered light through the clouds.
I explained some basics of using a camera in Manual mode and why to do so. We also covered off some basic composition techniques. Then we went and explored and at the end had a little creative challenge as well. I was able to talk to everybody and see what they were doing and provide help as needed. It was great to see some of the results and just how differently people can look at the same objects and scenes.
I particularly had fun as I decided to only use my new 16-35mm lens. This made me think about composition very differently from using any of my normal lenses.

On behalf of the Sunshine Coast Community Hospice who run Katie Rose Cottage, a facility for the terminally ill, may I thank you so much for your contribution to the recent Noosa Summer Charity Ball. the night was a great success and all who attended enjoyed the evening so much.
Your generous sponsorship of donations through your photography during the evening was wonderful.
The evening raised a considerably amount of money for Katie Rose Cottage, in fact $21,000 which will certainly assist us in the delivery of car to people who are in the terminal phase of their lives.
I know that all who attended the Ball really enjoyed the evening and I heard so many say, "be back next year" which is wonderful for the Ball Committee.
